What confused me is the attachment in comment #19: a modified Map.dat file, which places 2 trees in front of the house, so you can reproduce the problem easily, without playing the game to the point where the real issue was. Now I tried that modified Map.dat in Virtualbox (Win XP guest) and it turned out that those trees appeared incorrectly there as well.
To sum up, trees appear correctly with the original Map.dat file when using Wine>=1.3.31.
