Summary: ImgBurn: wine-1.1.40, no recognized drives Product: Wine Version: 1.1.40 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: t0p0linik@yahoo.it
I'm on ubuntu 9.04 32bit with up-to-date packages. After upgrading to wine-1.1.40, ImgBurn stopped detecting my DVD RW drive. No matter if I select ASPI or SPTI in options, no drive it can see, no way to burn discs. (the workaround was to create an iso image, then burning via brasero) Later, I downgraded wine to 1.1.39 and now ImgBurn works again.

--- Comment #1 from A Wine user RandomAccountName@mail.com 2010-03-08 08:15:46 --- Is the drive detected in 1.1.39 if you use SPTI, or did you have to switch to ASPI for ImgBurn to see it?
Either way, please run a regression test:

No, SPTI never worked for me, always used ASPI.

Alright, I think I can confirm this bug. I have two burners installed - one works with SPTI + Wine, the other doesn't. In 1.1.39, ImgBurn could detect the problematic drive if I switched the burning interface option to ASPI, but this no longer works in 1.1.40. Sounds like the same problem you describe.
I did a regression test myself and got this:

You sure you didn't create any keys under [HKLM\HARDWARE] manually?
Yeah - I always use fresh wineprefixes for testing bugs. The procedure I used was:
- Delete ~/.wine - Open winecfg and add drive mappings - Install ImgBurn - Run ImgBurn and observe results

Erm, that includes switching the interface from SPTI to ASPI in ImgBurn... just so there's no confusion. :)

--- Comment #7 from Michael Kanis mkanis@gmx.de 2010-03-14 08:43:22 --- I can confirm this bug. ASPI works in 1.1.39, but in 1.1.40 neither ASPI nor SPTI works.
