Backtrace of the crash

Trying to run Stars! 2.6j, which can be downloaded for free from
http://wiki.starsautohost.org/files/stars26jrc4.zip

When Wine is compiled --without-freetype, Stars! runs, but some fonts look
ugly.
When Wine is compiled with FreeType, winevdm.exe crashes.

I tested with current Wine git master HEAD (2011-04-23) and a couple of
slightly older checkouts as well.

My system:
Arch Linux, amd64, kernel 2.6.37, gcc 4.5.2, glibc 2.13-4, freetype2 2.4.4-2

Stars crashes when I start, I will try with a version of Wine compiled without
freetype in the next few weeks to see if I can actually play!

I am using Ubuntu 11.04 and Stars! crashes when I use Gnome and Unity.

Works here with wine-1.7.2-78-gfb96cb5, 1.6 and 1.4. I do get a crash with 1.2
and 1.3.13 (all with freetype installed). The backtrace from 1.2 for me does
show some font related stuff:
