This also occurs in Titan Quest, where it crashes just after: fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_UpdateSurface Updating part of a compressed texture is not supported at the moment fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_UpdateSurface >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502) from glTexSubImage2D @ device.c / 5528 fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_UpdateSurface Updating part of a compressed texture is not supported at the moment fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_UpdateSurface >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502) from glTexSubImage2D @ device.c / 5528
I have done this with current CVS (wine-0.9.46-261-ga76d10d) and it still appears. If I need to test things or attach traces, please let me know.
This currently prevents me from running the actual game.
I can confirm this on Ubuntu 7.04 x86, Nvidia proprietary drivers 100.11.14 and wine 0.9.46. The shipped version, 0.9.41, doesn't crash and does go in game, albeit without shadows (I guess 0.9.46 would do the same though), but it doesn't display text.
Also unplayable.
