I can't reproduce this with the demo version obtained from here http://www.gamershell.com/download_4364.shtml
Do you experience this problem with the demo/retail or both versions?

--- Comment #4 from Ilya Chernykh neptunia@mail.ru 2008-01-19 11:01:20 --- The demo version does not stuck fatally on my computer. It stucks but I only need to press Alt+Tab twice to get rid of the final splash screen. I also got stuck during gameplay with the demo version and cannot run 3DSetup (3DSetup works correctly with retail version).
But the retail version stucks fatally: you even cannot open other windows and the only way to make the system work again is to press Ctrl+Alt+F1 and enter command "sudo pkill nfs3.exe".

In the demo you have to wait about 10-15 seconds before the final splash screen lets you hit enter to exit, are you sure you're not being impatient?
Why are you using sudo to kill nfs3.exe? Are you running wine as root?

--- Comment #6 from Ilya Chernykh neptunia@mail.ru 2008-01-19 19:52:39 --- Well probably you're right, in the demo version one simply needs to wait some time, but in the retail version it really stucks with a black rectangle in left-upper corner. You even unable to switch to another window and I remember well that in the previous version of wine the application exited quickly without any pause.
No I do not run it as root. I tried to kill it with conventional command but it did not work, i dont know why. I did sudo and it worked. probably I simply should wait the command to work. If you need I can repeat it to determine exactly.

ok, can you compile from source?
If so could you follow the instructions here http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting to do a regression test.

--- Comment #11 from Ilya Chernykh neptunia@mail.ru 2008-01-22 18:55:23 --- Yes I can but now I have very little free time.
