AVR Studio fails to install

wine-1.1.41  compiled from source
Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS

\rm -r .wine

wineprefixcreate
        it installed Gecko  (after a wait!)

WinAVR
http://sourceforge.net/projects/winavr/files/
Installed WinAVR
wine WinAVR-20100110-install.exe

seemed to install OK

Please attach as a plain text file complete terminal output of the install.
Also make sure to test with wine-1.1.42 as it fixes few installer regressions.

installed wine 1.1.42
AVRStudio now installs OK
But it aborts with an error message when try to run it.

Then this bug is closed. Please open a new bug for the problem related to
running the program.

BTW.

Try with native msxml* installed with winetricks.

Thanks  .....  with msxml8 the program seems like it might run (with some
fiddling).
