Summary: OnLive fails to connect to service Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc4 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: quadomatic@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=29187) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=29187) WINE command line output
When logging into OnLive through both the launcher and through a browser installed in WINE (in my case, Firefox), credentials are successfully authenticated, but the program gives an error: "Unable to contact the OnLive Gaming Service. Please check play.onlive.com for details" error.
"a512" also appears in the bottom left corner of the launcher window, so I'm guessing that's the error code.
A log of WINE's command line output, as well as a record of TCP connections made during the program's connection process is listed as well.

The attached hack gets past the first little problem. The next problem seems to be bug 22937.

--- Comment #4 from flaep flaepster@googlemail.com 2011-02-06 04:31:17 CST --- I used wireshark to analyse the onlive traffic. Onlive try's to connect to ds.onlive.net.
When running in wine dns resolve ds.onlive.net gives several ip's back (so domain relsolving works) but it seems like the onlive client cant connect to any of these addresses. Trying to ping them from terminal gives 100% packet loss. Interresting is that account information validation works.
When you run onlive from windows xp (vbox) everything seems to run expect an "no directX is installed"-error (an vbox problem at all).
In the file [c-drive]/programs/onlive/ol_account.cfg you also can find the entry "ds.onlive.net".
My question here is: Is it possible that onlive can detect clients running in wine and is blocking them?
My network/wine/linux/english "skills" aren’t really good but i hope it helped.

--- Comment #5 from Marek Paśnikowski marek.pasnikowski@gmail.com 2011-07-15 02:09:32 CDT --- As of 1.3.24, Onlive launches perfectly, so the bug can be closed. However, there is still one problem with Onlive, which is launching the games themselves. I have tested the Arena - this works perfectly. Should I open a new bug, or can it be traced here?

New bug, please. No issues with bug 20651, then? I might leave open till someone else confirms.

--- Comment #7 from Juan Lang juan_lang@yahoo.com 2011-07-15 11:52:00 CDT --- (From update of attachment 30271) The existing stub in WSAIoctl was used as of commit 7e208f4896806e74e0ea04eb0928d2cac83630f7, so this isn't necessary anymore.

One can say that I just passed by and stopped to report successful login. It could be either change in Wine or in OnLive. It's a pity that the most important part of the program still doesn't work. When I have time, I will report the "no game start" bug.
