Bug ID: 40927 Summary: Pidgin 2.11 sets away mode when sitting in system tray Product: Wine Version: 1.9.13 Hardware: x86-64 URL: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pidgin/files/Pidgin/2. 11.0/pidgin-2.11.0.exe/download OS: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: 00cpxxx@gmail.com Distribution: Debian
When Pidgin (for Windows) is installed and minimized to system tray it will set away mode even when I'm still using the computer. When I hover over its systray icon it will go back to online mode, also when I hover over any other Wine running program it will also go back online.
I have a vague memory of some email/bug/discussion where Wine is not supposed to react to non-Wine windows, so probably when I'm hovering the mouse outside Wine it is ignoring the inputs.
And why Pidgin for Windows? Running same Debian-Sid installation for many years, sometimes apt-get just can't resolve dependencies for some time until new libraries are released.

--- Comment #1 from winetest@luukku.com --- I need to be logged in to test this? I played sometime with the program and I wasnt able to replicate the issue. But I didnt keep it running so long. I quess the default idle timer is something like 5-15min when it sets automtically away status.

Yes, you need to be logged to some account (ICQ/googletalk in my case) and without virtual desktop. I'm using XFCE 4.12, not sure it makes any difference.
