Bug ID: 36744 Summary: Pizza Connection 2 crashes at some point everytime Product: Wine Version: 1.7.20 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: martin.beckert@online.de
Created attachment 48797 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=48797 log-file with two different logs
Playing Pizza Connection 2 was possible until some point, so now the game crashes everytime at the same point. It's not possible to get over it.
I started PC2 with "wine Pizza2.exe", it's the first part in the log-file.
Next started it with "WINENOPULSE=1 wine Pizza2.exe", that's part two in the log-file.
So, what's going on here? :) Thanks for every help!

--- Comment #1 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- The crash appears in your video drivers. Did you recently upgrade wine or the entire system? Can you try older wine to see if it was wine that regressed? If it was, please run a regression test:

--- Comment #2 from Matteo Bruni matteo.mystral@gmail.com --- Actually in both logs it crashed in the game code (and in the exact same spot too). Is there any demo that can be used to reproduce the issue?

--- Comment #3 from Martin Beckert martin.beckert@online.de --- What I've already tested:
Playonlinux with wine version... 1.5.25 (32 bit): can't start game, crashes at startup 1.5.31 (32 bit): can't load savegame (see attached file "savegame.log") 1.6.2 (32 bit): can't load savegame 1.7.19 (32 bit): yesterday: bug exists, so game crashes ingame today: can't load savegame 1.7.20 (32 bit): yesterday: bug exists, so game crashes ingame today: can't load savegame
Log-header to version 1.7.20 seems to be to same as in version 1.5.31, only litte changes:
becks/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/PizzaConnection2/drive_c/Program Files/Software2000/Pizza Connection 2) wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000824 at address 0x47bcb0 (thread 0009), starting debugger... Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000824 in 32-bit code (0x0047bcb0).
...in PlayOnLinux I can't switch to 64 bit wine, because PC2 is marked as 32 bit.
Kubuntu with "native" wine version... 1.6.2 (64 bit): yesterday: bug exists, so game crashes ingame today: can't load savegame
I didn'tinstalled anything since yesterday, so I have no idea why the game now hangs in loading my savegame :/
There is no demo of PC2, but I got a savegame and the bug is reproducible and not avoidable, so I can't continue the game.
I'm using Kubuntu 14.04 (64 bit), so I don't upgraded my system, because I'm playing this game since two weeks :)
