--- Comment #2 from Alex Balut alexandru.balut@gmail.com 2010-03-09 02:47:50 --- I hope I did it right. I start TC from a shell, but there is no output after the moment when I press F5.
$ export WINEPREFIX=/home/aleb/.winetmptc $ wine Downloads/tcmd750a.exe $ wine .winetmptc/drive_c/totalcmd/TOTALCMD.EXE
I just noticed a related problem. I queue a file copy operation, then another one, then main window is frozen - as I reported. After the application is again responsive, I see that only the first file is copied, the second one is not copied.

--- Comment #4 from Alex Balut alexandru.balut@gmail.com 2010-03-09 12:31:49 --- Created an attachment (id=26716) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=26716) log: wine .winetmptc/drive_c/totalcmd/TOTALCMD.EXE
The attached log appears when the application starts. When queue-ing file copy operation and when the application closes no logs are generated.

Confirming. Well described, easy to reproduce, small (tiny) download:
http://www.ghisler.com/amazons3.php
The behavior is the same in all the following versions: * 0.9.49, 1.1.22, 1.1.42
Console output when pressing F5 followed by F2:
fixme:win:RegisterDeviceNotificationW (hwnd=0x100e2, filter=0xace984,flags=0x00000000) returns a fake device notification handle!

--- Comment #7 from Alex Balut alexandru.balut@gmail.com 2010-05-15 11:35:00 --- Still happens with wine-1.1.44, Ubuntu 10.04 64 (default window manager).
Regarding problem 1: The window showing the queue of files to be copied is frozen only while copying a file. When a file copy operation finishes, the window is updated (showing the next file).
Regarding problem 2: The main window is responsive once the current queued file is copied.
I blame the (system) function Total Commander is using to copy a file. It seems it should be asynchronous, but instead it is blocking.
Any idea on how to find which function is used to copy files?

--- Comment #8 from Rafal Stanilewicz washuu@eastnews.com.pl 2012-01-23 04:08:52 CST --- I observe both of the problems in wine-1.3.37 and Total Commander 7.56a.
The second problem exist when you queue a few (more than 1) files, not after the first one. Also, the queue windows gets focus, so you have to click on the main window after queuing operation.
