I can install winetricks, but after I install it, what would you like for me to do?

--- Comment #4 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Please don't post links to illegal downloads. Can an admin please remove the download link from the Description?

I can install winetricks, but after I install it, what would you like for me to do?
Use it to install IE7 to the wineprefix with Jabber and report whether that fixes the problem.

--- Comment #5 from davidc502 davidc502@tds.net --- Please do not derail what we are trying to accomplish here. Cisco Jabber is a FREE product which anyone can download (no licensing involved). One has to have the Cisco infrastructure (voice gateways etc.) to be able to run it, but anyone can install it. Besides, only people looking at Bugzilla know about this link, and it's for testing purposes only. As soon as the problem is resolved, it will be taken down.
Best Regards,
David

Cisco Jabber is a FREE product which anyone can download (no licensing involved).
Not according to the vendor website. http://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=284324806&software...
Clicking on their download link results in a popup message that says:

I am not trying to derail your bug report. You do not have the legal right to redistribute this software. Everything posted on this site is public.

--- Comment #8 from Steffen sk@gwdg.de --- I have the same problem. After installing ie7 I do get a Window and I'm able to log in. In chat-mode it work rudimentary. When I try to login in Phone-Mode it switches from the login window to the normal view and crashed after a second or two. I suppose this happens while trying to register with the server or something.
Cisco Jabber makes use of a lot of Open Source components like gstreamer, curl etc. You'll find a list of DLLs further down. Is there a sensible DEBUG flag for this case? debug +all is a bit to much, I think.
The console output is

--- Comment #9 from Daniel Masur daniel.masur@idealo.de --- "Can't recognize 'systeminfo.exe ' as an internal or external command, or batch script."
Should be fixed with the 1.7.29 version of wine. I'm running latest 1.7.31 but my Cisco Jabber crashes straight after starting it up.
Could you please provide details on what packages you installed in your wine environment and what else you had to configure to get it into the semi working state it is now?

--- Comment #15 from Paul Lemmons paul@lemmons.name --- I have just tried it with Wine 3.4 + winetricks ie7 in a 32bit wineprefix
It installs fine but when I attempt to start it it immediately comes up with the "Something went wrong page" and offers to send a report to an administrator. When run from the command line, here is the log created:

That's a separate issue (and really should go in its own bug). Can you try https://dev.wine-staging.com/builder/group/506/?

--- Comment #23 from Paul Lemmons paul@lemmons.name --- Getting much closer...
The application starts and brings me to the welcome screen. Then circles, waiting for "network..."
The log repeats the following two lines continuously:
0009:fixme:iphlpapi:GetIpForwardTable2 (2 0x32f378): stub 0009:fixme:iphlpapi:GetIpForwardTable2 (23 0x32f378): stub

--- Comment #24 from Paul Lemmons paul@lemmons.name --- Actually much much closer..
Pressing cancel gets me to the login screen. Going into advanced settings allows me to set the server type and address. and offers to let me login. When I try to log in I get the following:
0009:fixme:crypt:Collection_release Unimplemented flags 1 0009:fixme:crypt:ProvStore_release Unimplemented flags 1 0009:fixme:crypt:CRYPT_RegCloseStore Unimplemented flags: 00000001 0009:fixme:crypt:MemStore_release Unimplemented flags 1 0009:fixme:crypt:ProvStore_release Unimplemented flags 1
I then get "Cannot communicate with server"

--- Comment #25 from Paul Lemmons paul@lemmons.name --- Created attachment 61009 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=61009 Missing ODBC
Turns out my account was not setup properly. I got that fixed. Now I get to the login screen and am able to attempt to login but I get:
0094:err:winediag:SQLDrivers No ODBC drivers could be found. Check the settings for your libodbc provider. 0094:err:winediag:SQLDrivers No ODBC drivers could be found. Check the settings for your libodbc provider.
I have done:
cd /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu sudo ln -s libodbc.so.2.0.0 /usr/lib/libodbc.so
I have also tried:
export LIB_ODBC_DRIVER_MANAGER=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libodbc.so.2.0.0
The message does not go away
I have attached the log. Was the 506 build, built with this type of odbc support?
(Attached log is from the 64 bit wine but the same is true under 32 bit wine)
