The Sims3 Launcher will never start on any recent versions of Wine. The binary was obtained from latest Origin source.
Attached are runtime logs from 4.5 wine-staging. A stacktrace is present revealing that there is a problem with S3L_wp_getURL or some sort of URL thing.
