Output to console preceding the crash

Visio 2003 installs and runs (with gdiplus set to native) fine, but crashes
after a few seconds (irrespective of interaction) when a new file is created,
or one opened.

If gdiplus is left to the default value then the splash screen appears, but the
application does not start.

Can't seem to find a demo version, I'm afraid. I think it might be part of
certain Office 2003 packages however (I got mine through the MSDNAA, so I can't
tell you which ones).

As for crash output, do you mean something other than the console output I
attached? If so, how can I go about getting it - this is a very reproducible
bug!

I'm not seeing this reproduced with 1.0rc4 with GDIplus from WineTricks.

Otherwise Visio hangs at splash screen.

With GDIPlus it does work fine for most types of file - however UML diagrams
(creation or edition) crash it. I don't know if this is a change in behaviour
from before, as I never tested with anything other than UML diagrams!

I am experiencing the same problem under Ubuntu 64bits (2.6.28-13-generic),
wine wine-1.1.24.

Any resolution (even beta or alpha) available?

I posted this as a Visio 2003 Wine HQ page comment before I saw that it was
similar to this bug.

When I attempt to create a new UML diagram, I get the following error:

Then Visio crashes with a Microsoft Visual C++ debug library error and the
message is "abnormal program termination"

I am running Debian Lenny with wine 1.0.1 and Visio 2003 with no service pack.
(I can't seem to install the service pack.)  I installed wine today for the
first time from the Debian Lenny package.

I was able to get Visio to run by adding the library substitutions listed in
the Visio 2003 article with winecfg (gdiplus and others).

On a clean prefix, with winetricks gdiplus, and wine 1.3.3 visio 2003 works
pretty well, this bug is not present

On wine 1.3.4 1.3.5 you hit the bug 24606. And once you apply the patch posted
there visio 2003 runs well.

So I vote for close this bug.
