This is a regression, since patch 12.07's mss32.dll worked even in wine 1.2.

While I haven't actually tested the application, it seems much more likely that
the reporter's problem stems from the application libraries being broken (e.g.
using an older/broken mss32.dll) rather than a Wine regression.

What patch are you talking about? Wine doesn't provide the mss32.dll

The Re-Volt game has a patch called 12.07. In this patch it includes a newer
mss32.dll, which worked in older versions of wine. (see download link)

After a bit of testing, I found that you can get a slighty newer version of
mss32.dll and it will work again. Still it requires extra work and the newer
dll was not even made for Re-Volt.

That's very unlikely that it's a Wine regression. Feel free to reopen
once you have the regression test results to report.
