Summary: Cannot start IMatch again after exiting for a while Product: Wine Version: 1.1.6 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P4 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: chris@juengling-edv.de
Created an attachment (id=19955) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=19955) Message - Another Copy of IMatch is currently running
When I've been running IMatch (see http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=15969 for more) and then exited it by the menu command "Database -> Exit", I cannot start IMatch again for about 100 seconds. Instead of starting it displays the attached error message.
Running IMatch in a VirtualBox with Windows 2000 Professional in it, the start is possible immediately after exiting.

--- Comment #1 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-03-15 12:24:23 --- Did you use 'ps x' to check if it was really running or not?

--- Comment #2 from Christoph Jüngling chris@juengling-edv.de 2009-03-15 12:45:50 --- Now i did, thanks for the recommendation.
The visible window vanishes immediately, but the process is still active for another 1.5 minutes.

--- Comment #3 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-03-15 13:07:22 --- Can you check on win2k using task manager if program exits immediately or takes same long?

--- Comment #4 from Christoph Jüngling chris@juengling-edv.de 2009-03-15 15:56:05 --- In Win2k-SP4 running in a VirtualBox 2.1.4, after terminating IMatch, the IMatch4.exe is vanishing after a second from the Task Manager, even if the refresh rate is set to "high".

--- Comment #5 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-03-21 22:55:05 --- It'd be helpful to know what's taking it so long to exit...registry entries? Disk I/O, etc.? Are you on NFS?

No, it's a local built-in hard disk drive. No other applications were running on Linux at that time, which could have created high loads.

--- Comment #8 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2010-07-23 15:49:52 --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.2 or newer) wine

I'm currently not able to check this, sorry, I will update Ubuntu, Wine and IMatch in a few weeks after a full backup and then check again with current versions of each.

--- Comment #10 from butraxz@gmail.com 2013-05-11 05:10:17 CDT --- No update for over 900 days. No download. Is this still an issue in 1.5.30 or is this abandoned ?
