--- Comment #1 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- Windows drivers don't work in Wine, and aren't meant to, so even if you get past the installer crash, you are not going to be able to do what you want to do. Hardware has to be controlled through the host system; if you don't know how to do that, ask for help on your distro's support forum.
The installer crash may be a valid bug, but you are going to have to provide more information, including your Wine version and which driver CD this is (name of company/model of computer). You also need to attach a copy of the full console output, including the backtrace.

--- Comment #3 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
please provide *exact* instructions.
The homepage has a multi-product drop-down listbox mechanism, where each level depends on the previous selection.
You can't expect people to waste their time on trying out all possible combinations to find the correct driver installer.
Provide the information, download link and also retest with most recent Wine version. If you fail to do that the bug report will be closed.
To put things into perspective: Wine is not an operating system.
This bug report will only be about the actual installers. Those hardware drivers are *not* supported in Wine. If the underlying Linux OS (kernel) doesn't recognize your hardware properly there is nothing Wine can do. Don't buy hardware that has Windows vendor lock-in.
