Just tried with wine-0.9.36 and clean ~/.wine:
Heroes V installs without problems
Patch 1.4 installs without problems
No need for setup.ilg or any other changes

Please make sure that you installed Heroes V with wine-0.9.33 or higher and that
you are using the right patch that corresponds to the edition of Heroes V that
you are using (there are like 10 different versions of the 1.4 patch).
