Debug output from KSI G1000 training - commands embedded in file

King Schools produces computer based training tool.  The tool is based on
videos (.mpg) and follow-up activities.  The built-in video player will not
run.  However the videos can be played using the "VLC Media player".   Debug
information was captured and is provided in an attachment.

I'm running the latest DEBIAN install:

System specifics are:

Interesting lines from the log:

fixme:quartz:MPEGSplitter_query_accept MPEG-1 system streams not yet supported.
err:quartz:Parser_Destroy pinref should be null, is 1, destroying anyway

Does 'winetricks quartz' help?

makes me think you need a video codec.  try winetricks wmp9, maybe.

If that doesn't help,
fixme:devenum:DEVENUM_IMediaCatMoniker_IsEqual (0x40111d8)
might indicate 'winetricks devenum' could help.

Please test with a more recent version of wine, eg. 1.3.14

This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends
to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the
bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed.

Is this still an issue with 1.7.0 or higher ?

The issue resolved during a previous update to Debian.  Recent update has
caused issues again but need to close this for now to understand what happened.
