Bug ID: 56586 Summary: libOSMesa 32-bit development files not found (or too old), OpenGL rendering in bitmaps won't be supported Product: Wine Version: 9.7 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: trivial Priority: P2 Component: opengl Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: aros@gmx.com Distribution: ---
This is _not_ a bug, I just would love to learn what this error message entails exactly.
The reason I'm asking is that this package has quite heavy dependencies and I wonder what I'll be missing:

config.log, obviously ?
I don't have the mesa-libOSMesa-devel package installed, the error message is _valid_.
I'm asking what I'm missing by not enabling "OpenGL rendering in bitmaps won't be supported"?
What features and applications depend on it?

Bugzilla is not the place to ask questions like that.
And where could I ask such questions?
I'm quite sure 99.99% of Wine users have no clue which leaves me with no avenue of having my question answered.

wine-devel may be better; I'm not sure that anyone who knows the answer to that question frequents the forums.
