--- Comment #2 from ukos mail@matthias-kastner.de --- please provide window manager information. Can you try to extract the event from cli output when moving over or pressing the button? - There are usually a lot of events. If you can not find it, we can search the log together.
I can not confirm the bug with wine-2.0.x., wine-2.1.x. and wine-3.0.x on ubuntu/debian with gnome3. I have not tried wine-2.2.x itself. Can you confirm this bug with versions > wine-3.2? Maybe it is a DirectX related issue? If it is only present in wine-2.2.x then the bug must have been introduced there.

--- Comment #3 from ukos mail@matthias-kastner.de --- Also, please retry on a clean wine prefix with only msxml6 and riched20

--- Comment #5 from ukos mail@matthias-kastner.de --- If so, op‘s window manager would be KDE. Let‘s see what he reports.

If so, op‘s window manager would be KDE. Let‘s see what he reports.
No; that problem has also been reported on LXDE and XFCE. The workaround described in bug 30587 is KDE-specific, but the problem is not.
A quick test would be to uncheck the "Allow the window manager to control the windows" checkbox in winecfg. If that fixes it, it's probably the same bug.

--- Comment #8 from Eduardo Lúcio Amorim Costa eduardolucioac@gmail.com --- The intervention "uncheck the "Allow the window manager to control the windows" checkbox in winecfg" fix the problem "Move and change the window size (maximize/minimize/restore/resize etc...) bugs", but causes another...
When we using "word" when we click with the second mouse button in the typing area and open a context menu we no longer are able to insert characters with the keyboard after the context menu closes.
Additionally I can not get other windows from other applications to get over the word window. It stands above all others no matter what you do.

--- Comment #10 from sebastian@gallehr.de --- Can confirm this bug in ubuntu 18.04. Even uncheck "Allow the window manager to control the windows" and "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows" dis not help. 1. Microsoft 2013 applications are continously in the foreground 2. They are not managed in the task-manager (Alt+Tab) 3. when minimized, an icon is placed on desktop left botton

--- Comment #11 from Ronny Standtke Ronny.Standtke@gmx.net --- I can confirm that the same bug occurs with MS-Office 2010 on GNOME in Debian 9 with the latest backport of wine stable (4.0).
