Summary: StarCraft2 shows, probably, parts of backbuffer on screen, while using orm=backbuffer Product: Wine Version: 1.3.0 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: NightNord@gmail.com
I'm attaching three screenshots that illustrates this bug.
On first - only in in-game videos, when some character specking from 'video communication' window (when 3d portraits enabled in games settings, of course), it's enlarged and upside-downed portrait is shown in upper-left corner.
On second and third - In same upper-left corner we may see some parts of dynamic surrounding's textures. This bugimage changes or dissapears as we move camera over landscape. Mission on "Red Stone" is most affected - there is almost no camera positions, where this bug isn't visible.
There is no such bug on orm=pbuffer or orm=backbuffer.

They dont all away thou because they appear during cinematics where game-engine is used. Managed to figure out that in time it were actual loading screen picture and parts of it which where @ blackarea. My system ati radeon hd4850 fglrx 10.7 xorg-server-1.8.1.902

--- Comment #9 from Lee victor.nutt@gmail.com 2010-09-04 04:01:45 CDT --- I'm getting the exact same thing with the following setup: 4870x2 with Catalyst 10.8 Arch Linux x86_64 xorg.conf configured using aticonfig --initial adapters=all xorg-server-1.8-catalyst-maximize-fix 1.8.2-1 which contains a patch that fixes slow window resizing. amdcccle options set to defaults, tried Catalyst AI standard, advanced, and off.
wine 1.3.1-3 with a separate WINEPREFIX. orm=backbuffer to prevent the 'broken glass' effect
I just updated to wine 1.3.2-1 and completely reinstalled on a fresh prefix to start from scratch.
Let me know if any other information is needed.

Difference for me with new settings backbuffer -pbuffer Backbuffer enableas thin squares all ower map area ,so pbuffer seems to be an better option.

pbuffer ORM support was removed in wine 1.1.41 (released last March). Unless you are using a previous Wine version, setting ORM=pbuffer is ignored and it simply falls back to the default FBO ORM.
