Bug #: 30982 Summary: Microsoft Office Outlook 2010: Crashed after Outlook finishes loaded Product: Wine Version: 1.5.3 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: admin@graysonpeddie.com Classification: Unclassified
Installation of Office 2010 is successful. I've had some problems getting Outlook running after I configure my Exchange 2007 account. Before the installation of Office 2010 Professional Plus, PlayOnLinux downloaded and installed Wine 1.5.3 but executing winecfg and looking at the About tab tells me I'm running Wine 1.4. After Outlook crashed, I've ran Outlook in debug mode and once Outlook is running, it prompted me for the password and after a half a minute to a minute, Outlook crashed.

--- Comment #2 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2012-06-23 00:07:28 CDT --- You have to use plain wine without anything on top like PlayOnLinux, it's not supported. Also your log shows a bunch of native overrides like msxml6 for example. So you need to start with clean wineprefix and recent wine deve release 1.5.7 without PoL.

--- Comment #3 from Grayson Peddie admin@graysonpeddie.com 2012-06-23 07:47:57 CDT --- UGH!!!
Then I just hope pure Wine 1.5.7 has the ability to download files for Microsoft Office. Just let it download needed files, pop in the CD-ROM disc, follow the installer instructions, and bam! It's done.
But then I'll have to do it the hard way. :(
Thanks.

Office 2010 installs fine with plain wine, no native modules needed for that.
