StarCraft BroodWar shows Korean font like a complex of dots, bricks and blocks. It is not empty boxes. However other applications like regedit or notepad show Korean fonts correctly. Tried batang.tff, gulim.ttf, hline.ttf with same result.

(http://www.iccup.com/starcraft/sc_start.html) I don't know how legal it is, but since this link stays there for years, I think Blizzard allows it.
This version also provides maps, where you can find "ICCup Baekmagoji1.2.scx" map that contains Hangul characters in it's description.
