Summary: A runtime error now appears in 0.9.59 Product: Wine Version: 0.9.59. Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: quartz AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: msd4824@yahoo.com
Created an attachment (id=12182) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12182) Error picture.
When running Trillian, it puts an icon down by the clock. In previous versions of Wine (0.9.58 and before), the icon showed up with a gray background. Clicking on the icon would produce all the same functions as it did in Windows.
However, with the latest build, 0.9.59, it seems that this feature no longer works. The icon is now a random part of my desktop, and when I click on it, an error occurs, which I'll attach.
This bug only occurs in 0.9.59 of Wine, all other versions appear to work fine.

--- Comment #3 from Michael msd4824@yahoo.com 2008-04-15 15:39:19 --- This bug was very similar to 12362. I installed Wine using GIT, and the transparency issue down by the clock is fixed. However, when I hover over it, the popup that I attached still appears. This never happened in the past.

When I tried to configure Wine using ccache, I received an error to check the config.log file. In there, it appears the error deals with ccache. I checked the synpatic, and I have it installed. When I usually compile Wine, I just type: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local Would it be okay if I ran it like that? Would the regression test still work?
Sorry for skipping the download URL. I'll update that now.

I don't know why I forgot to mentions this instead... but I'm testing the newest version of Trillian. I figured the old one would have the same issue, however it doesn't seem to. Because of how the testing program is set up, only people who were accepted early on can test.
The only thing that has changed in the past week however has been my version of Wine, which is when this error occurred.
I understand that this program is still in testing, and I understand why people want to wait till the final release to start working on the program's issues. However, since this feature worked before I updated Wine, it is a regression. I'm sure some other program, which isn't in testing phase, has this issue too.
I guess the last chance, until this program is released, is to try to get the Wine bisect to work. I'll continue working on this tonight as much as I can.
