A user wrote that he loved Page Four and wanted to try it out in Wine http://darcknyt.wordpress.com/2008/02/11/search-terms-something-for-everyone... so I tried it. It installs and seems to run, but text is not displayed properly. Installing native riched20 improves the situation greatly (but even then, the bold and italics buttons don't work; perhaps you need riched30 or later for them to work).
For instance, create a new blank page, then type "This is a blank page." The first word shows up as blanks unless you minimize and maximize the app.
There are other text oddities, but let's fix that one first.

I created installed it in a new wineprefix, created a new page, and typed the text "This is a blank page."
I saw the text, and I was also able to make the text bold or italics using the toolbar buttons.
Could you retest. You can also specify any other text oddities that you notice.

I did have some other weirdness, but it feels more like app bugginess. E.g., you can't choose another font size unless a font is chosen, but the default font is blank. That may be a wine bug, though, perhaps a default font is chosen on windows...
