This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 6
months. Is this still an issue in current (1.1.33 or newer) wine?

Please, check the game again, using Wine-1.3.5 (or newer). Since 1.3.5 the
mouse pointer is shown correctly for me (it's an animated mouse pointer). In
any previous versions of Wine the cursor was invisible for me.

For the sake of completeness, the mouse pointer issue was fixed by
5fa84c56c344927dcb13b12409fbf64d738438f4

I can't say much about the reported slowness: the game performs fine for me,
tested with several different Wine versions.
