Example of dark foreground graphics

Running Bionic Commando: Rearmed results in dark foreground graphics that make
the game almost unplayable.  All other aspects of the game seem to working
perfectly.  Attached some graphic screenshots.

I have experienced this problem as well.

Ubuntu 10.10 (64 bit)
Wine 1.3.10
Nvidia GTX 460 SE (using driver version 260.19.29)

Comments on http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=13468
suggest that switching to and from another virtual desktop will correct the
issue. This workaround did not work for me.

Switching desktops works for me on Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit, Gnome desktop, NVidia
8600GT with driver version 260.19.29, but only when desktop effects are
disabled.

This bug report hasn't been updated for 2 years. Does the problem still happen
in recent Wine versions like 1.5.22 or newer?

AppDB rating: The game graphic under Wine 1.7.8 are not dark.
