The Crysis Warhead Installer seems to be extremely buggy. First off, you will
need to compile Wine with Attachment 12843 , then you will need a native
netapi32.dll. At that point, you can navigate the installer, but shortly before
copying files, it fails with the message "ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILED"

Can you please update to git, remove your old wineprefix and try this again?  I
get to a point where the installer runs a subinstaller for the EA download
manager, which hangs because of a problem in ole/rpc.

Using current GIT I encounter the same problem.

I didn't select the EA download manager at all, so yours is an unrelated
problem.

I can confirm this bug using wine 1.1.10

To reproduce:
Install native comctl32 via winetricks, you will pass the AVI problem, but if
the download manager is enabled, the installer doesn't work properly, if it is
disabled, the installer fails with ERROR_FUNCTION_FAILED.

This is on openSUSE 11.1/Factory using the wine package from Emulators:Wine

With wine 1.1.30 and installing comctl32 via winetricks, I have been able to
install the game and run it up to the main menu. I have installed the English
version without the Download manager.

I was able to install the game properly in current git (1.3.5) without any
overrides. I got some error messages at the end when I cancelled the disk check
by securom, but otherwise the game installed fine.
