--- Comment #4 from Michael Müller michael@fds-team.de --- The problem is related to msxml3. Installing the native version using winetricks msxml3 works around the problem.

--- Comment #5 from fjfrackiewicz@gmail.com --- Created attachment 55067 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=55067 Terminal output Wine 1.9.14
This still needs winetricks msxml3 in Wine 1.9.14. Terminal output attached.

--- Comment #8 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
refining the summary to collect all dupes here. Various NVIDIA installers are affected by same issue.
* NVIDIA GeForce Now (bug 45795) * NVIDIA GeForce Experience 3.x (bug 45799) * NVIDIA PhysX 9.x (this one)
Bug 45795 / bug 45799 have more detailed logs, but I decided to merge them here since this one is obviously older.

--- Comment #12 from Gijs Vermeulen gijsvrm@gmail.com --- I tested all the installers in that were mentioned in this bug.
* NVIDIA GeForce Now
It seems to fail on some ieframe thing. I tried to install ie8, but that only works in a 32Bit prefix and GeForce Now only works in a 64Bit prefix.
* NVIDIA GeForce Experience
Doesn't want to start the installer because Task Scheduler service is not running.
* NVIDIA PhysX
This one installs completely without issues now.
* NVIDIA RTX Voice
Gets past the initial issue (this one), but crashes on unimplemented newdev.dll.DiInstallDevice and missing support for SPDIT_CLASSDRIVER in SetupDiBuildDriverInfoList().
Marking FIXED by https://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/commit/72f42516b2f324ef9b8f2427c514d9ea152a23b4.

--- Comment #13 from Zebediah Figura z.figura12@gmail.com --- (In reply to Gijs Vermeulen from comment #12)
- NVIDIA GeForce Experience
Doesn't want to start the installer because Task Scheduler service is not running.
Note that you can presumably work around this with `net start schedule`.

--- Comment #14 from Gijs Vermeulen gijsvrm@gmail.com --- (In reply to Zebediah Figura from comment #13)
Note that you can presumably work around this with `net start schedule`.
Thanks, that helped. After working around Nvidia GPU check, even though I have one (extract installer, remove constraint from GFExperience/GFExperience.nvi), it now also crashes on unimplemented newdev.dll.DiInstallDevice().
