------- Additional Comments From robust@gentoo.se 2005-28-10 15:02 ------- Well the games that I have tested so far is Warcraft 3, Diablo2, Starcraft (what a blizzard! :) ) Nowadays you don't need anything special, dmix should work out of the box. You don't need to activate it trough a ~/.asoundrc or something like that. I'm using the intel8xo driver and this is the soundcard: 00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation nForce3 250Gb AC'97 Audio Controller (rev a1) I had problems with dmix and wine before, but that was probably cause I always used OSS instead of ALSA without even knowing it. It seems that when you create a new configuration, and look at winecfg, it seems that ALSA is selected. But this isn't the case. You have to select another driver and then choose ALSA again and click apply to activate it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
