Hello,

Maybe there was a new version of EA Desktop but in my case, the installation still fails even after the fix for the bug 49887.

Step to reproduce : - Set WinVer to Win8.1/Win10 - Launch EAappInstaller.exe and click on "Let's go". The application closes immediatly after this action.

I have this line in my ouput console when the app closes : 0114:err:seh:NtRaiseException Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x434a8e

I attach the +seh log if it's interesting for you.

Hi, I cannot reproduce this. After I click "Let`s go" it starts to download stuff and seems to install that apparently fine. Maybe the installer got again updated????

Hmm, Maybe someone else could try ???

What is your Operating System ? And which Wine's version did you use to install EA Desktop ?

Maybe it's a problem with Debian Unstable .... I'll try with Fedora/Arch. :/

If i run the installer with "wine EAappInstaller.exe", it crashes like i explained before.

Now if i use this command : "LC_ALL=en_US.utf8 wine EAappInstaller.exe", the installation works.

Reconfigure locales on my system to add "en_US" does not fix the issue.

Maybe you could change the title of bugreport to reflect the problem. FWIW: I tried run with LC_ALL=fr_FR and the installer still succeeds (used staging 6-20) I guess there`s some kind of vague issue on your side?

I guess there`s some kind of vague issue on your side?

An other French user has the same issue than me. On Debian, if i set en_US only for general local (dpkg-reconfigure locales), it works. If fr_FR.utf-8 or fr_FR.utf-8+en_US.utf-8, it crash in the both case.
