DVD Profiler uses 'hint-style' pop-ups when you hover over a data item that is
not fully displayed using the SetWindowLong API call (e.g. where a name is to
long to fit in the space allocated, a small window showing the full information
appears when your cursor points to the name). Although this is very useful
under Windows, in wine the pop-ups block access to the underlying data
preventing the record from being selected.

This bug was marked as a duplicate of bug 2891. However, 2891 has been reported
as fixed, and I can confirm that this issue is still present in 1.0-rc3.

Therefore, I'm reopening this bug as not being a duplicate.

For the purposes of testing, note that the application does not require a key
(it has a restricted free license).

After installing the application, add a DVD with a long title (from menu, DVD,
add to collection, add by title). Add a few other titles with shorter names as
well for comparison.

Your list of DVDs will be displayed on the left-hand side of the screen. You
should be able to select a DVD to view the profile by clicking on the record.
However, records with long titles that are wider than the window have a pop-up
to allow you to read the full title. This pop-up is the issue - it acts as a
barrier, preventing selection of the record.

You can still select the record by clicking on a column other than the title
(i.e. so there is no pop-up) or by navigating from another record using the
arrow keys.

The same behaviour can also be witnessed from other areas of the application,
most notably with long cast names (right of the screen).

If it's relevant, the application was written in Delphi.

Added screen shot to show what I mean, as I realise there is not one present.
My mouse is hovering over the record for "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen"
and the resulting 'popup' is preventing it from being selected.

Sorry for the delay.

That is indeed the application, and the issue still exists in build 1.1.37 - no
change in behaviour since it was first reported.

Note that the application can be installed and tested for this issue without a
licence (although some of the more advanced features will be disabled).
