Summary: X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) Product: Wine Version: 0.9.37. Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P3 Component: wine-x11driver AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: miketrml@gmail.com
My apologies first and foremost if this is a duplicate. I tried looking at the list, but 56k is an extremely slow go especially for the size of this particular bug list.
In regards to the bug, I'm using both WINE 0.9.37 and IES4Linux with the wineprefix set to: WINEPREFIX="/home/<myusername>/.ies4linux/ie5/".
The program I'm attempting to use is called Voodoo ( http://www.voodoochat.com ). It's a multi-user chat program (currently numbering 1,600+ (during larger days)) that acts as a part of IE in an attempt to allow users to have web page "rooms". Anyone using Excite's old Virtual Places or Halsoft will understand this ideology.
The developer, Mike Parniak, has attempted graciously to allow those of us utilizing WINE to use the chat portion of the program without the added benefits of IE as the backdrop by typing the following to launch:: wine voodoo.exe -x ::.
Recent development of WINE in 0.9.37 has allowed Voodoo to operate normally with IES4Linux for the first time -ever-. However, this is not without it's problems.
The bug:
Loaded via: WINEPREFIX="/home/len/ies4linux/ie5/" wine voodoo
When using IES4linux and WINE 0.9.37, the program (Voodoo) runs fairly normal as allowed by it's creator. After several minutes, however, the following message is displayed in the command prompt after clicking on a menu with the mouse:
X Error of failed request: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 54 (X_FreePixmap) Resource id in failed request: 0x2a080e5 Serial number of failed request: 239042 Current serial number in output stream: 239079
Upon receiving this message, Voodoo exits and the WINE window shuts to a close.
I would have more information, but that's all I have to offer and that's all that has been given to my knowledge. I will provide more information if and when it's requested.
