I use WINE 1.1.16 patched for ATI model bug on a Geforce 6200. EVE Version 6.10.84244 and NVIDIA driver 180.22 on x86-84.
The login warp works fine. On all following warps the fps drops to 0 until the warp is finished. Wine does not crash.

I'm seeing the same behavior in 1.1.17 with the models patch, and also very low frame rates when cloaked after coming through a gate.
Try use the last nVidia driver(180.51) and last wine version (1.1.21)...
