Bug ID: 44567 Summary: Deus Ex: Human Revolution doesn't exit, hangs Product: Wine Version: 3.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: emailofchris@gmail.com Distribution: Other
Created attachment 60535 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60535 The output of launching Steam, then DX:HR; clicking Exit in the game menu, then ending the process (sigterm).
The game freezes up when I click Exit, so I have to send SIGTERM to the process. Using Wine on Solus (Gallium Nine enabled).

--- Comment #1 from Robert Walker bob.mt.wya@gmail.com --- Again you're testing with Gallium Nine... Which is not supported, in any fashion, by the Wine Project... Does exiting the game, when using vanilla Wine Development release 3.2 + CSMT, also hang?
FYI It's recommended to override the Windows Steam Client to Windows XP compatibility. See: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=19444 ...

--- Comment #3 from Chris Y. emailofchris@gmail.com --- Created attachment 60540 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=60540 Output from Wine 3.2 launching Steam, then DX:HR. I hit Exit. ~2m later, game exits; I exit Steam.
Didn't realize the text I had in the comment box would be submitted along with the edited title, sorry. Anyway, I tested both Wine 3.1 (native on Solus, Gallium Nine disabled) and Wine 3.2 (downloaded with Lutris), and on both, DX:HR takes about two minutes to complete the exit process. I didn't wait long enough in previous testing. Here's the output from Wine 3.2.

Hmmm. This "issue" just sounds like Steam Cloud Sync being rubbish...

--- Comment #6 from Yao Mitachi yaomtcmail@gmail.com --- Tried again with vanilla Wine 3.10, same result. Yeah, I see what you mean, there are a few posts about it on the forum.

Yeah, I think we can close this. Hadn't tested it on Windows recently.
