--- Comment #4 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
there is an audio subsystem related crash with the demo at startup that happens 1 out of 5 runs. Otherwise the game runs fine.
You can disable the builtin crash reporter by passing '-disableMinidump' to Steam/launcher, allowing winedbg to retrieve the backtrace.
There is a config file stored in '%APPDATA%\Trine2' -> 'options.txt' If you disable audio there the game runs fine.

--- Comment #5 from Béla Gyebrószki gyebro69@gmail.com --- Created attachment 49111 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=49111 +relay,+msgbox,+seh,+tid log (uncompressed 10 MB) - 'ksuser.dll' not installed
The crash that yves64 reported in comment #0 is a different issue from what AF sees in comment #4. I have the same problem as the OP with the GOG.com version of Trine 2-Complete Story, caused by an exception due to missing 'ksuser.dll' (which also needs 'ksproxy.ax'). This would make the original bug report as a dupe of bug #25863 Other bugs related to missing 'ksuser.dll': bug #29628 and bug #29817
Without 'ksuser.dll' diabling audio as suggested by AF doesn't help, the game crashes as before. I haven't yet experienced the occasional crash when ksuser.dll is installed with the GOG.com version of the game.
