The installer for SlingPlayer 1.5 fails in a WOW64 prefix, but works fine in a
32-bit prefix with error:

1608: Unable to created InstallDriver instance,
Return code: -2147221164

Googling around suggests it can be caused my registry corruption on 64-bit
Windows. Tried installing Windows Installer 4.5 but that failed too.

Could you try my patch?
I found some registry related issue in msi.dll.
At least, Sakura Strasse installer works well on my environment.

I try your patch to a Sakura Strasse installer.
Installed trial and product version( is product version install CD).
Sakura Strasse installer works well on Ubuntu 64bit environment(WOW64).

Thanks for reporting.
Now, I tried Slingplayer 1.5. With my patch, I got bug 24611, again (because it
has already fixed in wine 1.7.8). To avoid regression, I'll investigate this
side effect more.
