This bugreport lacks a version number of the version of messenger that is to be installed.
Windows Live Messenger 9 can be installed by 'winetricks msxml3 ie6'
Windows Live Messenger 8.5 runs, after winetricks msxml3 into a com+ issue apparently.
What version of Messenger is this bug about?

Hi Nikolay, applying those patches fixes the msxml problem for me. Now the installer starts up, and only 'winetricks ie6' is needed to get through the installation process (at least for Windows Live Mail and Photo Gallery).
