--- Comment #64 from billstei billstei@hbci.com 2008-03-04 11:39:20 --- I tested the git after comment #63. This test is against FLStudio which is listed under the "Show Apps affected by this bug" link above, specifically FL Studio version 7 (of which the demo is called flstudio7_rc6b). I also tested the non-publicly-available FL Studio ver 8 rc2 and had essentially the same results:
Minimizing the app now produces a task bar button in Gnome (it had nothing before), and there is also a small (about 32x32 maybe?) window that remains on the desktop (again this was not present before). Neither one can be Unminimized back either by right-click menu (grayed out) or click on task bar button, but they can be right-click Closed and the FL.exe and wine processes close out normally. Certainly not ideal, but a step ahead from just losing all windows and having to kill processes just to close the app.
The thing about these Delphi apps (as I understand it) is there are two windows, one of which is 1x1 ? That being the case, it is undoubtedly that 1x1 (or hidden) window which is the key to doing the Unminimize, and the other 32x32 window needs to be hidden when minimized. But my understanding may be faulty so do not overrate my "help".
