Summary: StarCraft UDP LAN play fails with an eventual "Unable to initialize network provider" Product: Wine Version: 1.1.3 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: asksteved.com@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=15579) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=15579) Log from running StarCraft and failing to connect for LAN play
Under multiplayer, pick LAN UDP play. On the username picking screen, click cancel. Pick LAN UDP again, and a box will pop up: "Unable to initialize network provider." The following appears in console for each attempt to connect to LAN:
fixme:winsock:WSAIoctl unsupported WS_IOCTL cmd (9800000c) fixme:winsock:WSAIoctl unsupported WS_IOCTL cmd (9800000c)
UDP LAN play does not work for me. I'm running StarCraft Brood War version 1.15.2. Results are the same if I go further in, such as picking a username or starting a game, then come back.
Attached are complete logs.
