Bug #: 33820 Summary: Update from Mint 14 update manager today to 1.6 RC2 completely broke Wine Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: john@toucanmultimedia.com Classification: Unclassified
After automatic update today from Mint 14 update manager, Wine will not start. It gave this installation error:
"E: /var/cache/apt/archives/wine1.6_1.6~rc2-0ubuntu1~ppa1_amd64.deb: trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/wine64-preloader', which is also in package wine1.6-amd64 1.6~rc2-0ubuntu1~ppa1"
Reinstallation gives the same error, and I also get an error when I try to remove it and do a fresh install
