Bug #: 31489 Summary: C&C - Red Alert 2 can not enter campaign when fullscreen Product: Wine Version: 1.5.2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: fpemud@sina.com Classification: Unclassified
When I enter the campaign menu, I can't select soviet or allied. When the mouse is on the big icon, nothing happens. (the icon should turn bright or flash)
If I runs Ra2 in virtual desktop, this problem is gone.
If I upgrade to wine-1.5.9, there's a regression so the Ra2 can't be start, so I went back to wine-1.5.2
I would like to solve it, can anyone give me some guide?
It's not a crash, so I don't know what info to collect. Is there any doc describes what's different between fullscreen and virtual-desktop? Or how should I start to look at the relavent code?

--- Comment #1 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com 2012-08-18 12:40:48 CDT --- Please, try again in the latest development version of wine (currently 1.5.11). If the crash is still present open a new bug attaching the crash output. Then add the new bug as "depends on" in this bug. Because the crash bug need to be fixed first and later this one. Usually wine developers only support the latest versions of wine so it's more likely you won't get support for 1.5.2.

--- Comment #2 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com 2013-07-05 08:59:32 CDT --- Is this still an issue in the latest development version of wine?

--- Comment #3 from fpemud fpemud@sina.com 2013-07-24 19:21:30 CDT --- Yes, exactly the same.
I think the regression I mentioned has nothing to do with this issue, I'll report it as another bug.

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for over a year. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.37 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.37 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

--- Comment #5 from owezahra@gmail.com --- nope, not for myself at least. I've already seen the selection screen working and i'll probably add wine 1.7.38 testdata soon.
Now, even the arrows appear as they should, and i didn't have to alt/tab in and out to get it working (like in wine 1.6.2)
Thanks for being on the wine-team and providing us with the gear to leave windows as permanent as possible!;)
