Request for Enhancement: please consider adding to the post install scripts, pathmunge /opt/wine-staging/bin after to /etc/profile under the "# Path manipulation" section
And remove it with the remove script.

Not without a compelling reason, and I don't see one here. The winehq- packages already add symlinks enabling our version to be used as the system default wine version. Users who don't want that can install wine- without the winehq- package, which enables them to have multiple branches installed at the same time. Adding /opt/wine-* to /etc/profile is not necessary for the packages to work as intended, and people who really want that are already free to make that change themselves.
