Midnight Club II does not run with any sound enabled. It does start up and play
the opening videos (including sound) but on game initialization it crashes. If
I disable sound in winecfg it doesn't crash.
I've appended wine's output.

What distro? What sound driver is selected in winecfg? If your distro using
pulseaudio did you disabled it before starting Wine?

I use Slackware-12.1. The selected audio-driver is ALSA, but it does also crash
with OSS.
I have pulseaudio installed, but it is definitely not running (and it did also
crash before I installed pulseaudio)

wine's output on the crash

I'm sorry. I thought I already submitted this. There must have been something
gone wrong on the first run. However, here it is now.
