Summary: DealBook 360: unusable and has OLE errors Product: Wine Version: 0.9.57. Platform: PC-x86-64 URL: http://www.gftforex.com/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: edge@rsm.id.au

DealBook 360 is a client for Foreign Exchange and CFD trading, provided by GFT. It is available from their site, and selecting offline mode will let you into the client without an account. Free trial accounts are available and may be needed for full debugging, i don't know.
After the login window login, the client starts and pops up two Exception windows. (Class: OLE error 80004001 Type: EOleException) I'm not sure if this is the main problem.
The client is missing most features, attempts to access them though it's menus generate the same exception window.
Neither wine nor dealbook 360 crash, it just doesn't work.

--- Comment #1 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk 2008-03-08 13:39:14 --- Could you try the following:
'wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks msxml3'
, then maybe also do
'regsvr32 msxml4.dll' (as that one is not registered properly according to your log)
Then restart and report back please

--- Comment #2 from Rodney Moss edge@rsm.id.au 2008-03-08 22:25:34 --- sh winetricks msxml3 certainly helped, Dealbook now looks like a trading client, and the ole exception windows are no longer popping up.
Still doesn't quite work well, some windows don't seem to move or position properly, and it crashed. I'll post more when the market is back live for trading (ie not sunday), and i get time to test.
Thankyou.
