Summary: Default search does not include resolved bugs Product: WineHQ Bugzilla Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download, source Severity: enhancement Priority: P3 Component: bugzilla-unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: kennybobs@o2.co.uk
The default search (the search box at the top of this page) does not include closed bugs (rightly so), but it also does not include resolved bugs. This leads to duplicates that could be avoided.
See Bug 18601 - a recent regression that is fixed by the next release, but anyone searching for an open bug for Google Sketchup will not see it unless they choose to run an advanced search, which some users clearly don't.
I'm sure this is a simple change to the code.

This seems to be the right area of code, but I don't know how/where to define "RESOLVED/FIXED" as one of the search parameters.

--- Comment #2 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-06-06 15:49:01 --- This is for admin to configure in Administration->Parameters->Query Defaults->defaultquery. Add to the front of it:
bug_status=RESOLVED&

--- Comment #4 from Jan Zerebecki jan.wine@zerebecki.de 2009-06-27 05:14:55 --- I changed the defaultquery setting, but that seems to only affect the advanced search.

--- Comment #5 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2009-06-29 05:44:49 --- It must be something in the web code then.
Will take another look later unless somebody else beats me to it.

Status: UNCONFIRMED, NEW, ASSIGNED, REOPENED, STAGED, NEEDINFO
Got everything but.
Ten years ago since I said I'd look at it, so I guess I'm not. ;)

Unfortunately, I don't see a way to enable that.
