Summary: Spirent AdTech GUI rendering issue Product: Wine Version: 1.1.6 Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: clermytt@hotmail.com
Created an attachment (id=16814) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=16814) Screenshots (Lin versus Win)
I'm trying to use Spirent's software for its AdTech network generator/analyzer products. Most of the functionality seems ok, but a crucial part in trying to use the software is the generator configuration and packet definition. Attached are 2 windows with problems, once in Windows XP version, one in Wine 1.1.6 version. If any extra information is required, please do not hesitate to ask.

--- Comment #1 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-10-27 14:35:46 --- Does native richedit help? Is the software available for download?

--- Comment #2 from Kobboi clermytt@hotmail.com 2008-10-27 18:34:18 --- Thanks for your reply. I'll search if the software is downloadable or if it allowed to pass it on. But help me out, what exactly is richedit and what do I do to give that a try?

Richedit is one of the dll's, used for displaying text. To try native:
$ wget kegel.com/wine/winetricks && winetricks riched20 riched30
(There are two versions)
Please also attach terminal output.

--- Comment #4 from Kobboi clermytt@hotmail.com 2008-10-28 05:03:44 --- I've installed riched20 and riched32 through winetricks but if that's really all the action I have to take, the problem is not solved by it. Terminal output is trivial. Is there a way to turn on more traces to be able to assist you better?

--- Comment #5 from Kobboi clermytt@hotmail.com 2008-10-28 05:47:09 --- Experimenting a bit more with winetricks, I installed the comctl32 package. The small sized fonts like in the package definition window are now OK! Some buttons are now a bit screwed though (see attachment). Is there something else than a 5.80 solution?

Get a +commctrl log with/without native comctl32.

I'm sorry, I don't know how to do that and Google isn't helping me out.
