Fullscreen applications, such as Counter-Strike 1.6 cannot be minimized neither
by Alt+Tab, nor by Ctrl+Esc. You cannot switch to another application. You even
cannot switch to another abpplication by going to another desktop by pressing
Ctrl+Alt+=>. The fullscreen application sdtill holds focus and all the display
area regardless what dektop is currently active.

I can confirm this,
but switch the current window or switch the workspace is now working. but
simple minimize still don't works.

Switching workplace is now working with Metacity, but does not work in Compiz.
Minimize does not work in both.

I'm using Fedora 10 i386 with WINE 1.1.15 and:
1) ALT+ESC
-works well under metacity
-no effect under compiz
2) ALT+TAB
-no effect under metacity
-switches to other windows but very fast comes back to the gamef

I've just tried with Counter-Strike. Minimizing the application makes video
bugs in my system and the window becomes irresponsive. No way to continue the
game. Only can terminate it via process manager.

wine-1.1.29 and wine-1.1.30

I can minimize by Alt+Tab, but when maximizing i can see my bottom pannel on
top of the wine window.

This is probably window manager specific issue.

I can unmap the application window or the desktop window just fine.

Same problem with latest wine 1.6(rc3) for every game i played on fullscreen
CS:GO,DotA 2.

I do not know where I should put this comment through google and I found this.

And that's the problem looks:

Problems appears, when i try alt+tab or samebody poke me on TS.

I have tried almost everything and nothing helps me to return to wine.
