Bug ID: 42122 Summary: Dosbox fullscreen does not work Product: Wine Version: 2.0-rc3 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: aaronbpaden@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 56655 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=56655 log
Download and install dosbox from dosbox.com, set fullresolution=desktop (this should eliminate the possibility of the application trying to switch to an unsupported mode) and aspect=true. Run dosbox and hit alt+enter to go into fullscreen.
What you end up getting is a black window (no dos prompt) that, at least in GNOME, you can't easily get focus on. I just close it by hitting ctrl-c in the terminal.

--- Comment #1 from Aaron Paden aaronbpaden@gmail.com --- I forgot to mention, I've tried various builds and fullscreen doesn't appear to work in any of them, from what I've seen, regardless of what settings I've used. I was hoping to get dosbox-daum working with glide support, but no luck.

--- Comment #3 from Michael Stefaniuc mstefani@winehq.org --- Reopening as this is not about DOS but running dosbox.exe under Wine.
Aaron, on Linux you can run the Linux version of the DOSBox. Wine will run the native dosbox binary and not the Windows dosbox.exe.

--- Comment #7 from Aaron Paden aaronbpaden@gmail.com --- Created attachment 64691 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=64691 log with wine-staging 4.9
Sorry, thought I'd answered already. Guess I only thought about maybe re-testing at some point instead. :)
I'm currently on wine-staging 4.9. Fullscreen is still broken, though I *can* alt-tab into the "fullscreen" window that is actually just a borderless window that takes up a small portion of the top-left corner of the screen. The log output is different.
