Summary: Text display bug. Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc2 Platform: PC-x86-64 URL: http://pk.gjhak.sk/.storage/winebug.jpg OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: gandalf.pk@gmail.com
Hello, I am using Gentoo Linux, x86_64. Until now, I was using "stable" 0.9.57 version of wine, now, I decided to try the rc2. There is a small glitch when rendering normal windows (such as winecfg, installers, etc) - the text is randomly screwed up.
I have got no compiz running, no compoziting extensions enabled. The wine is built from source, the wineprefix worked previously with 0.9.57 perfectly, i tried to create a new one, and the bug is still present. The only thing which comes to my mind which can be causing this is - the new ati proprietary fglrx driver. I'll check how does the older one (from april) perform, nonetheless, there is nice performance improvement in this may release of ATI drivers, so, it'd be nice if you could track down this regression.

--- Comment #1 from Lei Zhang thestig@google.com 2008-05-28 15:46:58 --- If you downgrade back to Wine 0.9.57, does the bug go away? Since (so far) only you have the problem, you need to track down the regression:
